Be safe out there. Long-suffering Bloodborne players are in hysterics after a new PlayStation advertisement

Sony's new trailer for PlayStation's 30th anniversary features a reference to Bloodborne. The trailer, a typical Sony production, also references many other PlayStation titles, from first-party games such as The Last of Us, God of War and Resident Evil, to third-party ones like Batman and Resident Evil.

Each featured game comes with a text that encapsulates its theme: Metal Gear Solid 3 "is about honor", and The Last of Us "is about love". God of War is about family, while Spider-Man is about sacrifice. It's just a 30th anniversary trailer for a platform, and it won't interest anyone but those who love PlayStation or advertising.

The trailer ends with Bloodborne footage and the words "it's all about persistence".

Here's a trailer:

Bloodborne, arguably From Software's best-loved RPG, has been stuck on PS4 since 2015. It hasn't been updated for the PS4 Pro and PS5, so its performance issues persist. Fans have moved from wanting a simple update to unlock the frame rate of the game (like Dark Souls 3 did) to demanding a full-blown remaster.

It's also worth mentioning that the game is not available on PC. This would be a great business move for Sony, the owner of the IP. You can probably understand, whether you love Bloodborne, or not, why people get so madwhen a Horizon Zero Dawn reissue is announced while Bloodborne languishes.

A Sony acknowledgement of Bloodborne is a big deal for Bloodborne fans, especially when "persistence" comes up. The game may require "persistence", however, Bloodborne's fans have been persistent in their quest to convince Sony to fix or reissue this game.

Bloodborne, the 2015 PS4 title, will be temporarily taken offline on December 3 for maintenance. December 3 is the exact date that the PlayStation was released 30 years ago. This happens every year at the same time, as someone pointed out in a reddit thread. But that's no fun, isn't it?

The trailer is more convincing, but I am still sceptical. I'm sceptical because I want to keep myself safe. It's hard to not take these two not very promising hints as a sign that couldhappen. I'm not certain if this means a PC version or a PS5 polish. But if it doesn't, Bloodborne emulation has made great strides in the past few months.
