Before it was removed, a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, calling card appeared to refer to 9/11.

Currently, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is in closed beta. During this time, players are learning all about the game, including how to talk to your meatshields, and finding some interesting calling card.

TheGhostOfHope is a Call of Duty leaker who posted an image of the default calling card for Black Ops 6. The "Make History" card includes images of protesters and a pixelated George W. Bush Jr.

Most people, even if the image wasn't a reflection, were able to connect the dots between it and the actual tragedy of 9/11 fairly quickly. "Y'all notice anything unusual about this calling-card?" TheGhostOfHope says. TheGhostOfHope says.

The calling card was changed a day after TheGhostOfHope had pointed out the similarities.

TheGhostOfHope said in a later tweet: "Lol. They actually removed it." All that's left now is a closeup of someone writing on a small tape. No more protesters, no more planes crashing into buildings. This unusual change is made even stranger by the fact that Treyarch officially denied rumours about Black Ops 6's campaign depicting the 9/11 tragedy.

It's not the first time that videogames have used real tragedies as promo art or in game. War Thunder accidentally released artwork in June that featured a picture of Challenger Space Shuttle tragedy as the background. The promo art featured aircraft in combat and behind one of them was a cloud of debris that had an unusual shape. This is actually the aftermath of the Challenger disaster. This art was also quickly removed, just like the artwork on Black Ops 6’s calling card.

I don't know how this can continue. You'd have thought that this calling-card would have been seen by more than just one person. Even though the plane is small, it seems like a rookie mistake to include an image that looks like 9/11 next to the words "Make History".
