Homeworld 3's DLC packs will be released in November, not 2025.

Blackbird Interactive has revised its release schedule for Homeworld 3 Updates. Instead of releasing three free updates and two fleet packs in November, it will now do so this November instead of between now until early 2025 as previously stated.

The "Year One Pass", which some players pre-ordered, will include two new fleets, along with major changes to the way skirmish games are played, as well as new capabilities for ships.

"Following update 1.2 we decided to combine all free and paid DLC drops in the roadmap in one unified delivery. This will happen in November." Blackbird said that combining the content into a single beat would allow them to focus their resources and give you a better experience.

The "player-requested features" that will be available in November are quite broad. Ships in Skirmish can now perform hyperspace jumps, a Homeworld movement method that was missing in Homeworld 3 for moving large ships. This will be accompanied by hyperspace inhibitor technology that will stop warpers in their tracks.

Other changes will be made to Homeworld 3's skirmish games, mainly by slowing down the pace. Resource controller units will become more expensive and gather resources much slower. This will make them "riskier and more meaningful investments." There will also be a more linear tech tree, with unlocks for units and research being locked behind other requirements.

These free updates will be available alongside the classic Homeworld 1, 2, and 3 factions of the Taiidan, and Kiith Somtaaw in the War Games mode.

You can read "What's Next for Homeworld 3?" in its entirety. Steam. Some players are worried that Blackbird will abandon Homeworld 3 once November arrives.

Homeworld 3 was one of the most anticipated games for the RTS genre, but it has received a poor reception. The gameplay has been criticized by players for being different from its predecessors. It received a 38% positive user rating on Steam. They said that it was less strategic and didn't capture the old magic.

Fraser Brown, a reviewer for 77% PC Gamer, said that Homeworld 3 "takes some big swings" but it doesn't quite come together as well as its predecessors.
