In 2025, Monster Hunter will have its own Fender guitar, joining Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix, as well as Yngwie malmsteen.
It seems like a long time since I stopped being surprised when bizarre promotional tie ins appeared. My breaking point was probably when Korn appeared on AdventureQuest 3D. Monster Hunter will now have a signature Fender, a guitar that is usually reserved for highly-regarded or iconic players who have a history with Fender guitars. You know, musicians like Jimi Hendrix.
As far as I am aware (and I admit, I have only played three Monster Hunter Games), the Rathalos does not play the guitar or other instruments. The Rathalos is not a Gwar monster. The Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster, a collaboration model to celebrate Monster Hunter's 20th Anniversary, will be released in 2025.
Fender's description reads: "The majestic presence has been meticulously integrated throughout the instrument, with its icon on body back and the 12th fret inlay. The distinctive feather and fire patterns as well as guild mark on body front," "From the original color to the tortoiseshell pickup guard and black hardwares, inspired by the dominating fierceness of the Rathalos, this is a one-of a-kind guitar."

There's probably no reason why Fender couldn't make a Monster Hunter Guitar, but I would have chosen a Street Fighter Stratocaster or Resident Evil Jazzmaster. Ace Attorney Jaguar?
The Monster Hunter Telecaster is set to release in March 2025 - just a few weeks after Monster Hunter Wilds launches on Steam. The guitar will cost you $1,999 / €1,849 / AU$3,499 so start saving now.
