The game's simplicity, however, doesn't give it a long shelf life, so it's best to play live opponents. An online play option could have alleviated that.

A well made game that's a lot of fun, but it doesn't break any new ground. Worth giving a shot anyway.

Pac-Man Rally is fundamentally Mario Kart in a different guise. Usually such blatant rip-offs are recipe for disaster, but Rally is apparently the one exception where it manages to pull off a half decent attempt.

No replays, soft collision, and pesky bombs aside, PMWR is a fair rally game, and possibly the most brand-drenched racer ever.

Pac-Man World Rally looks and sounds the part, with strong, though simple, visuals and a score created in part by Dweezil Zappa and Tommy Tallarico. Yet these are the only areas of the game that feel fully developed.

The tracks themselves were about as interesting as Walugi in a thong. All-a the colors were washed and blended together with nothing really standing out as I whizzed by.

If you’ve played Mario Kart 64 or Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, you won’t find anything new or exciting about Pac-Man World Rally. What you’ll find is an average knockoff of Nintendo’s venerable series that feels like it took palette-swapping to new heights.

A solid entry in a mostly wretched genre. It's cute, it's charming and makes you smile without ever really winning your heart. Still, if you've been fiending for a decent PS2 kart racer you can play without vomiting your bones out in horror, here's where your money should be going.

A fun, competitive racer. There are enough features, options and unlockables to entertain but it does feel 'been there, done that.'

Though it's a solid entry to the staid genre, World Rally is a bit too kid friendly to recommend to anyone who reads past a fifth grade level.

OK, it's a bog-standard mini-kart game, but it's good at what it does.

This is a great game for kids or people who are chronically bad at racers, and it's not actually offensive to Pac-Man fans.

There are some unique elements to Pac Man, like the fruit shortcuts and being able to chomp other racers, but outside of that everything from track design to powerups just looks like the same recycled ideas that we’ve all seen a thousand times before.

With sub-par graphics and load times, Pac-Man World Rally is just the latest game to show that three dimensions is still one too many for Pac-Man.

You know, there's a little thing called the multitap that allows four people to play the same PS2 game. For whatever reason, you PS2 owners only get to hook up with one other gamer, as two-player split-screen is the option you're given. You may not be fighting over who gets to play anyway, but the feature would have been nice.

If you are looking for an enjoyable game to play with friends in the fashion of Mario Kart, then Pac Man World Rally is a good way to go, but if you are looking for a game that tests your mettle and driving skills, World Rally may not fill that need.

Pac-Man World Rally is a paint-by-numbers kart racer with almost zero in the way of unique qualities or challenges.

If you have a younger sibling or a rugrat of your own, sure, it may well be worth dropping 30 bucks on this thing to express your affection or shut them up or whatever you need to do. You probably just won't want it for yourself.

It's a great title for children - provided their standards aren't too high and their attention spans aren't too short, Pac-Man World Rally won't get into trouble with the younger market.
