The First Descendant announces "important news": it is getting official "jiggle physics," which it somehow did not already have

It turns out that The First Descendant - the game PC Gamer’s Morgan Park described as "dollar store Destiny with exclusively hot people" - does not have jiggle mechanics. I know this because a developer announced on Discord, as noted by GamesRadar that The First Descendant will be getting jiggle-physics.

TFD_PD_Lee, in a message that was translated, said: "I wanted share some important news so I decided to stay online late tonight." "After a long discussion with the AD, it was decided to add the much requested 'Jiggle Physics'. The decision was made just a few days ago, and the details of how and when it will be implemented into the game will be revealed in future updates.

For those who are not familiar with the term, jiggle-physics is a general term for systems which add unmissably exaggerated vibrations to specific body parts. Wikipedia, which has an entire section dedicated to the subject, states that jiggle physics, or as it is more commonly known, "breast-physics", dates back to 1992 in the fighting game Fatal Fury 2

It has become a near-ubiquitous game in the years since, but it's still not everyone's cup. Epic, for example, added jiggle physics in Fortnite in 2018, and then removed it quickly, calling it an "embarrassing, unintended" feature. How can a game studio add jiggle physics unintentionally to its characters? This I don't know.

Larian, however, appears to have chosen to expand this particular field of technology in 2023 by adding "schlong physics".

As I mentioned earlier, the most surprising part of all this is that The First Descendant never had jiggle physics. It's a perfectly good Destiny 2 knockoff. But, as Morgan said, it's most notable for its "exclusive and comically beautiful cast of supermodels." The aesthetic is not subtle.

TFD_PD_Lee was right to call this "important news" based on the overwhelmingly positive reaction on Reddit. This is not the first time Nexon has updated The First Descendant to include jiggles: In October, it removed the "tails," so that players could see, um, more tail.
