World of Tanks Blitz Critic Reviews

World of Tank Blitz is a game that will convince you to part with your cash, but with so much of its frantic tank-based fun offered for free you'll find yourself more than happy to do so.

Blitz definitely can be qualified as a success. The seemingly impossible task – to port a thoughtful, slow-paced game to a platform that’s all about instant gratification – was accomplished. And the product is not a Frankensteinian monstrosity, but something new, fast-paced and captivating.

It’s not surprising that the developers reported having 70-minute average play sessions during the World of Tank Blitz soft launch, because it’s so easy to get sucked into saying, “OK, just one more battle” before looking up and seeing that 30 or 60 minutes have passed.

It's been a bit of a wait for World of Tanks Blitz, but it's here - and it steamrolls its way to the top tier of mobile tank battling games.

World of Tanks Blitz offers some of the very best multiplayer you'll find for your mobile or tablet.

Looks good, plays good and its free-to-play system is fair and well-balanced. It has everything to bring its success from PC to mobile devices.

It's a rare free-to-play game that respects both your time and your money, and it's definitely worth checking out.

A lot of tanks, a lot of people and a lot of fun: World of Tank Blitz keep its charm even on mobile platforms.

World of Tanks Blitz is an excellent mobile version of the original World of Tanks, packed with lots of upgrades and vehicles to unlock.

We didn't expect a game so close to the original for PC. Blitz is well made, surprisingly able to launch us into battle in a much faster way and able to deliver the same emotions of the main series.

Arriving on iPad and iPhone, World of Thanks does not lose its spark.

Mobile version of WoT remains a wildly satisfying F2P game that requires skill rather than deep pockets.

This game is a smaller version of his PC brethren, with smaller levels and shorter matches. However, the gameplay is great.

World of Tanks Blitz is a fine distillation of what makes World of Tanks fun: lots of upgrades and addictive online matches. Smaller maps make it an excellent choice for mobile gaming on the go, though we can't help but think they might end up being too limited in scope. While Battle Supremacy beats World of Tanks Blitz on graphics, World of Tanks Blitz is free and delivers on the fun-front with solid multiplayer.

Obviously compared to the PC game, World of Tanks on the iPad is not as beautiful, but it holds up well, and on my third generation device I got a lovely sense of fighting over classic military settings.

A nice mobile version of the famous PC and consoles hit World of Tanks. Blitz is aiming for short game sessions and quick action, and the developers did a good job out of it. Only the imprecise controls need some time to get used to.

A basic campaign may have been a good addition when away from the Wi-Fi.
