Whether you want to build a major league franchise or just play two with your favorite team, competing in a complete game of Xbox baseball couldn't be easier or more fun.

In the latest edition, crushing those 500-foot homers is still possible, but not nearly as fun as flashing the leather: Even a routine double play is elevated into breathtaking spectacle.

Sega Sports has made a few tweaks and improvements that push WSB 2K3 into a class all by itself.

I love this game! I will be playing it a lot in the next 4 or 5 months. It’s the closest thing that I found to replicating that feeling of turning on the T.V. to watch Spring Training or heading down to “the corner” to watch my heroes play.

If you are not up to doing a franchise in this game it may be smart to avoid WSB, as the franchise mode is the bread and butter of this game.

For 2003, Sega has upped the ante once again and has developed a near-perfect baseball game.

Complete in nearly every way and is a good bet for casual fans who just want to slap a few balls out of the infield and diehards who will settle for nothing less than a full career simulation.

It's not a vast improvement over 2K2 but it's going to surprise the hell out of anyone weaned on PSX baseball games.

The year's best overall baseball title. It's got enough simulation to satisfy the hardcore and sufficient arcadeness to please the casual gamers.

It comes with endless options and modes that are sure to keep you busy for hours and hours. With the Franchise mode alone, you could still be playing it in ten years with an unbelievable winning streak and setting new all-time records.

If there is one area where World Series Baseball 2K3 excels, it is in the franchise mode. Loaded with options, franchise mode is a micro-manager's dream.

Not as deep or as complex as some of the other competitors in the field, World Series Baseball 2K3 is the perfect blend of an arcade baseball game and a hardcore sim.

An amazing-looking game with some pretty serious muscle under the hood. If only the game actually <I>played</I> better - especially the batting - you'd have the "Madden" of baseball games.

WSB2K3's lifelike player models, fluid animations, and countless customization options help it stand out among this year's crop of baseball games.
