Dr Disrespect announces that he will be back soon and deletes his admission about inappropriately texting a child: 'We've got lots to discuss'

Guy Beahm (better known as Dr Disrespect) is making a comeback just two months after he confirmed the reason behind his lifetime ban from Twitch. He was banned for exchanging "inappropriate text messages" with a minor.

Beahm tweeted: "Vacation is just too great right now." "We'll soon be back though Champs. We have a lot to discuss. Yayaya yayaya yayaya."

He has a lot to say. Beahm's life unraveled quickly after a former Twitch worker shared allegations that he was banned from the platform for inappropriately messaging a child via the Twitch whispers messaging system, and trying to set up a TwitchCon meeting. Deadrop developer Midnight Society (the studio Beahm founded in 2021) fired him almost instantly; many other partners, such as YouTube, 2K Games and Turtle Beach, also pulled the plug after Beahm admitted that the allegations were true.

But that's one thing he doesn't seem to want to discuss. Beahm teased a return of streaming at the end July with a goofy image that said "you're play checkers, I am playing chess". Beahm deleted his previous "back soon" tweet before posting this more recent "back soon." tease.

Previously, the tweet was here. Now it's not.

It's debatable whether deleting a tweet after it has been up for over a month will have any effect. In any case, esports commentator Jake Lucky posted images of the entire thing on Twitter.

As you can imagine, reactions to Beahm returning soon are mixed. Fans are just as eager to see him return. There are also a lot of jokes and hateful memes as well as photos of an island, which may be familiar to those who followed the US election.

Beahm's return to streaming is not surprising. After all, what else could he do? But the social media backlash might be the least of Beahm's worries. YouTube demonetized Beahm’s channel soon after his admission, and forbade him from creating new channels to circumvent it. So, no matter how many people are waiting to see his return, it's unlikely he will be able earn any money on it. It's possible that Beahm may move to another platform, such as Kick or Rumble. They might be willing to overlook Beahm's bad behavior for the viewers he will bring. Whatever the case, we will hear about it shortly.
