DualSense Edge customization on your PC continues Sony's PC obsession

Sony seems to be warming up to PC gaming. I think this is because of the PS VR2 adapter and the DualSense Edge customisation.

It's about time.

Sony's latest ode for PC is the support of customisations on its DualSense Edge controller. This is done through the PlayStation Accessories app. It used to be called the "Firmware Updater for DualSense Wireless Controller" app. I can see why Sony changed the name. You can download the latest version (2.0.13) directly from its official site and try it right away.

Note that this app only works with the DualSense Edge, Sony’s premium controller pad. The app does not open up options for the DualSense, which is significantly cheaper. I made the error of thinking it would and rushed to reconnect my PS5 pad, only to be met by a Bluetooth connection page and little else.

It's a pity, but I must be fair to Sony. I didn't read its tweet, which stated the distinction very clearly.

DualSense Edge users should at least benefit from it. This includes customising button assignments, deadzone tweaks and vibration intensity.

Make your $200 gaming controller your own with these simple tips.

This support is certainly welcome. Sony's growing affection for the PC is just another indication of its growing love affair. There are many premium controllers that support PC, so I would not recommend the DualSense Edge to PC gamers. You can choose any of the best PC controllers.
