Early access to Skate frontside pop shuvit in 2025

Skate will launch early access in 2025. This was announced earlier today by the official Skate account at X. "We are incredibly excited to announce that skate. Early Access will launch in 2025. Full Circle, the developer, said that they would be sharing more details in the months to come. Personally, I expect skating.

Skate or "skate" is the name of this game. The long-awaited relaunch for EA's Skate series, which hasn’t had a sequel since Skate 3 in 2010. The new Skate will be officially released in 2021, alongside Full Circle, an entirely remote EA development team. Skate will be a free-to-play game with a microtransaction-driven live-service model.

Skate takes place in San Vansterdam - a fictional city described by Full Circle as a massively multi-player space with solo challenges, pop-up public events and private match-style throwingdowns that players initiate on the spot. Skate allows players to drop objects such as rails and ramps in real time to create their own skate lines. In the teaser trailer for the early access announcement, you can see skaters slapping down ramps.

Full Circle has been running internal Skate tests since 2022. You can find video highlights of those tests on YouTube, along with longer development updates. Full Circle's most recent video dev update from June 2024 described its latest improvements to Skate’s trademark flick-based trick control system, which will "improve accuracy and control."

Full Circle has also added a number of new tricks. Skate will feature both slappies as well asboned Ollie's, which I know and understand. The studio took a moment out to confirm that socks would be customizable. To me, that's skate culture.

I was a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater fan growing up. But now that Skate is going free-to-play, I've got no reason to not show up when it's released in early access 2025. I may end up realizing that I am too bad at the flick controls to be able to do any real skateboarding, but as long as I can launch off a roof while doing a Christ Air I'll still be happy.
