Since I received it in September, the Logitech G915X Lightspeed has become my home daily driver. Its low-profile frame makes it easy for you to move it around, but the improvements made over its previous model have made it feel more sturdy. The aluminium top plate and plastic back give it just enough weight for it to stay together with a firm press or shake.

It looks great, too, with a pretty RGB that doesn't take the spotlight off its fantastic switches and battery life. Logitech's style is a slim design that's not overly flashy. It's not just the weight or appearance that I love.

Although you can get this mechanical keyboard in both Clicky and tactile switches, my keyboard was fitted with the Clicky type. They produce a satisfying thunk when I type, but are not so loud that I could not use it at work. The keyboard has a great typing feel, and it's versatile with its programmable "G keys" and media controls.

The price and the bloated Logitech G Hub Software are the two main factors that prevent it from being a top gaming keyboard. It is worth considering the first point, as I have experienced frequent software crashes or problems.

This software will not bother you once you have set up your keyboard to your liking. However, if you like to play with macro keys and want to customize the RGB constantly, it may still be a pain.

This $30 discount is enough to make the package more attractive and bring it closer to its competitors in terms of price. It's worth considering, especially at Best Buy for just $200.

If you want a low-profile mechanical keyboard that has a long battery life and can tolerate some pretty mediocre updates, this is the choice I will continue to make for the foreseeable.
