Fallout: London’s latest patch fixes and improves the mod by more than 1,000 changes.
Team Folon, as Fallout: London nears one million downloads has released a patch that includes more than 1,000 fixes and improvements. The team claims this will make a "massive difference" for the players.
Fallout: London, released in July, is a complete Fallout 4 conversion mod that takes players to the post-nuclear London and answers the question "What if British citizens could also blow themselves out?" The answer was, as expected, mostly good but also bad. The mod did a remarkable job of transforming Fallout's distinctly American flavor into a British tang but it also suffered some serious technical issues.
It was still a big hit. More than 500,000 redemptions were made on GOG in the first 24 hour period of its release. The work continued with the 1.01 update that was released in August. Team Folon stated that it "should fix many problems people have with performance and crashes," but now the new patch 1.02 promises to tune up things even more.
The complete list of changes is available in the Fallout: London real-time changelog. "Major fixes" include changes made to the level of details system, which should improve visual consistency and performance while reducing crashes. Fallout: London will now be "as solid as a stone" after a "polish-pass on a number collision measures that were causing crash and being intrusive to gameplay."
Team Folon stated on the Fallout London Discord that "the mod is very close to being redeemed over 1,000,000 times." "We are incredibly grateful for all the support and positive feedback the project has received.
Your feedback is crucial to our ongoing efforts to troubleshoot bugs and fix them. We'll continue to refine Fallout: London to perfection.
To update Fallout London to version 1.02 you must first update it in your GOG library. This will update the launcher. Then press "Play" on the launcher to start, select "Update", and follow the instructions. You can download Fallout: London from GOG for free. However, you will need Fallout 4 to play.
