Gwendoline Christopher, Game of Thrones' star, is the new narrator of Civilization 7.

Gwendoline Christopher, who is best known as Brienne of Tarth from HBO's Game of Thrones, will be the new Civilization 7 narrator.

Christie will join the long list of Civilization narrators who have distinct voices. This tradition began in 2005, with Leonard Nimoy's Civilization 4:

William Morgan Sheppard will be presenting Civilization 5 in 2010.

Civilization 6 in 2016 gave us Sean Bean as one of the rare actors who didn't die in the second act.

Christie is now ready to take the reins. She will be the first female to narrate Civilization games, and the "narrator unveil trailer" removes any doubt about her choice.

Reddit users seem to be very happy with the game, and not only because of Game of Thrones nostalgia. Of course, we won't avoid entirely. It's the internet after all.

Firaxis and 2K Games, following an initial tease this year, unveiled Civ 7 at Gamescom in a big fashion.
