It's time to switch to Nvidia App from GeForce Experience, as it now allows for easy driver rollback
Have you ever installed an entirely new graphics driver only to find that your system is running worse than it was just hours before? If you've had a bad Nvidia driver update and are experiencing this problem, the new Nvidia App Beta offers a solution. It includes the option to rollback driver updates as well as a number of other nice features.
As announced in the release note for its latest update all updates starting October 1 will support RTX HDR for multi-monitor configurations. Previously, users had to come up with creative solutions in order to get multi-monitor setup support.
The beta update includes some features that users requested, such as the ability to customize the font colour of the stats overlay. It also informs users when Shadowplay recording has been restricted due to protected content. You can also remove manually added programs from the graphics tab.
The update also includes "Optimal settings support" for nine games.
- Black Myth: Wukong
- Chained Together
- Dungeonborne
- F1 Manager 2024
- Frostpunk 2
- God of War Ragnarok
- Once Human
- Star Wars Outlaws
- Stormgate
The new beta also includes a number of bug fixes, including a fix for filters that did not work in Apex Legends and Dead by Daylight. Rainbow Six Siege will also be updated. It also improves stability and fixes an ironic bug where the feedback form was empty.
You can download the Nvidia App Beta right now if you want to try it out.
The Nvidia App was launched earlier this year and tried to kill off GeForce Experience which was Nvidia’s previous app. It doesn't need an account and has a completely redesigned UI, making it easier to use. It also eliminates the use of Nvidia Control Panel. The Nvidia App, with these small but essential updates, has been a boon to its users in its first year.
