I used to look at 3D printing and think, "that's pretty cool." Since my partner has started 3D printing, I'm able to see it much more closely. It all began when I gave my partner, Ender, a different beginner's-friendly 3D Printer for Christmas, a few years ago. She wasn't a fan of it right away, partly because 3D Printers are finicky machines, which like to make them look like they are working when they are not. My partner bought a Bambu Lab A1 Mini this year during a different promotion, and the difference between them was like night and day. Her prints looked cleaner, had fewer errors and she preferred the software included. She went from struggling with a single piece of Lethal Company cosplay, to printing nifty little desk toys (for her), and a full on model of Dodger Stadium without drama.

This is a great machine and this particular deal comes with a huge bonus: the AMS Lite attachment. It's more than a holder to hold more filament spools. The stand allows multiple filament types to be fed into the printer simultaneously, allowing for multi-color prints.

The A1 Mini isn't perfect. The A1 Mini's printing bed is small, so it can't handle projects larger than a 2-liter bottle of Coca-Cola. You can get more space by purchasing the Bambu Lab A1 standard (also on sale at $299) or P1S, which is on sale at $549. The latter has an enclosed area for printing that prevents outside temperature fluctuations from disrupting prints.
