Pathfinder 2e celebrates its 1st anniversary by destroying D&D in terms of value. The latest Humble Bundle offers $888 of new books at $45
I've had a great time playing Pathfinder 2e (except for the counteract rules that were designed by Lucifer to taunt my). Paizo makes me feel like a thief. I'll sing its praises until the company realizes that I'm committing larceny by stealing TTRPGs.
It's not necessary to purchase the Player Core or GM Core books to access the rules within. Archives of Nethys can get them for free via updates, and if your Foundry VTT license is already active, you can also take advantage of a comprehensive integration at a low cost.
I would still check out this Humble Bundle deal for the one-year anniversary, as it's just as crazy as the one that I highlighted in September. Here's a list of what you can grab while also donating money to Comicbooks for Kids. This non-profit helps children in more than 200 US hospitals and cancer centres receive free comics.
You can get a PDF starter pack for $5 (PS3.90), which includes the remastered Beginner's Box, a GM Screen, a set of character sheets, pre-gens and The Swordlord's Challenge. This is a short three-hour adventure. I'd recommend the $30 bundle (PS23.10) if you are serious about getting started. It includes the GM core and three bestiary book, the Player Core and a bunch of adventures and flipmats.
If you choose the full-priced option, you get $888 in value for just $45 (PS38.10). That's a lot of stuff. This bundle is best suited to those who have a good printer and wish to play PF2e with their friends at a table. It's also a good buy if you're looking for some adventures to play and don't mind turning them into a VTT.
Paizo has always been generous with their D&D-like games, even if you're on a budget. Two recently-remastered novels, two bestiaries and a bunch adventures are available for less than the cost of just one new D&D book (which starts at $60). Paizo's apparent hatred of making money and the offer end December 5.
