Have you ever thought "Wow, I'd love to take a nap in this gaming chair (tm) if I could lean further back." I didn't think so either. Secretlab has announced a new cushion that clips to the bottom of your chair, allowing you to recline further.
Secretlab's creation is described as "a product that allows you to easily transition from work to play and even napping." The idea of napping was mentioned to highlight how comfortable and how far you can recline. It also highlights how strange this addition feels.
The tool is a cushion with a metal base that can be hooked onto Secretlab's most popular chairs, like the Titan Evo. The cushion is made of memory foam, and measures 230 mm x 430 mm. Secretlab claims that the design features "microscopic pockets" to provide better pressure relief and support for your legs.
The new add-on can be installed in three minutes on any Titan Evo chair or Classics Secretlab. It can be adjusted from 0deg up to 80deg. This means you can either tuck it in when you're not using it, or put it forward to support your legs while you lean back.
Secretlab produces the Secretlab Titan Evo which we consider to be the best gaming chair in the world right now. This tool is therefore likely to be of high quality. It's hard to see the value of something like this. It's not only not very comfortable to sleep on a gaming chair, but it is also not a good habit to develop.
This is not the main selling point, but there are some potential uses for users who have mobility issues. You will probably benefit from this if it seems like something that you would enjoy, but I don't see the point.
All of this is before you even mention that the Standard Edition will cost you $199/PS159/EUR199 and the Founder's Edition will fetch you a whopping $249/PS199/EUR249. It's a lot to pay for something that is superfluous.
This may be appealing to some, but I'd rather spend that money elsewhere, such as on a new 2 TB SSD or Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2.
