The Logitech Wireless G Pro Gaming Mouse has been a mainstay on my gaming desk since many years. First, I used it to play games when I wasn't doing reviews. Once the Logitech Pro X was released, I used it as my mouse on the PC Gamer testing bench to benchmark new chips. I still use it semi-regularly to this day for the same task.

You might conclude that the Superlight gaming mouse is the one to buy. I agree with this sentiment, but the Superlight 2 is also $100. The Superlight 2 still costs around $160. This is not for everyone.

The Pro Wireless has a smooth shell that is designed for FPS gaming. However, it can be used in other genres. The Pro Wireless is equipped with the Hero sensor, which we've come accustomed to seeing in Logitech gaming mouses. It's fast, reliable, and works on all surfaces.

The DPI button and indicator are two things that the Pro Wireless does better. The DPI indicator and button allow you to see at a glance which DPI mode is selected. This can be up to 25,600. The bottom button allows you to easily switch between modes. I miss this functionality on the Superlight which, as its name suggests, sacrifices many features in favour of a lightweight frame.

You'd be surprised to learn that the Pro Wireless is ambidextrous. This means it can be used by any of our lefty buddies. Or, at the very least for those lefty friends who haven't given up and are just learning to use a right-handed mouse.

The Pro Wireless also comes with RGB lighting. The Superlight is missing a few extra features, including the DPI indicator and logo.

It's not Superlight. It's still a good mouse that offers a lot more than just weight savings. Let's be clear, this mouse only weighs 80 grams. It's not a heavyweight. If you're looking for the lightest mouse, I recommend the Turtle Beach Burst II Air. It is surprisingly good at competitive gaming. It only weighs 47 grams for $100. Phwoar.
