Before joining the team at PC Gamer I had my own hardware blog. As a small fish, it was hard for me to obtain hardware samples for review. I would borrow (steal), recent hardware purchases from friends for a couple of days to review - before reluctantly returning them.

This sonic wonder isn't cheap, but at $270 on Amazon, I think it's a great early Black Friday deal.

Not just me. Dave James, our hardware lord, gave it a 93% rating in his review. I believe this score is a perfect reflection of its incredible abilities.

What makes it so special, you ask? The planar magnetic driver is the key. This is normally reserved for high-end audio gear that we mere mortals are not meant to purchase. These are fantastic units that can deliver a stonkingly strong bass and a sparkling treble at the right ratios.

If you haven't heard them, you are missing out. The trick is to combine these wonder-drivers into a gaming headset which makes sense in any way.

It's comfortable, has a Bluetooth 5.3 and 2.4 GHz wireless support for audio on-the-go, and an 80+ hour battery life. It's a pretty comprehensive list of what I want from the best wireless audiophile headset. And, oh, look, our top pick is in that category.

Nothing is perfect. It's quite heavy at 490 g, but thanks to the adjustable headband, it fits comfortably on your dome during long sessions. The passive noise cancellation works well, but is not exceptional. The software could use some improvement.

There's no better wireless headphone on the market right now if you want to get the best sound quality. It's expensive enough to make me hesitate, but $30 off is a great deal. It's a real temptation.

I receive a lot of wonderful headsets to review, but honestly? I'd swap them all for this can, and that is the best recommendation I can give.
