This RTX Super gaming PC is now only $1,400. It's more than capable of handling all games.
As GPU hoarding became more common, pre-built machines became cheaper. The days of fighting for the last graphics card in a Best Buy lot are gone, but we're still tempted to buy a prebuilt gaming computer.
Newegg has a killer deal for $300 off a gaming PC that can run Black Myth: Wukong and Deadlock as well as any other Steam game. This Ryzen 7 7700X with RTX 4070 super powered gaming PC is available for only $1,400.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7700X is a mid-range CPU that easily earns its place on our list of the best CPUs for gaming. This CPU is somewhere between the Ryzen 9 7595X and the Ryzen 9 55950X in our testing. It really pushes all eight cores to their limit. It has a single-core clock rate of 5.55 GHz, which is above average for its price range. It also comes with an eco mode that reduces power consumption.
The RTX 4070 is more than "nice" - it's a great graphics card that can make a great gaming experience. The 4070 Super is a lot cheaper than the 4070 Ti, but it performs almost as well. Cyberpunk 2077 on ultra ray-traced settings averaged 68 frames per second in our tests. Metro Exodus, on the same settings, managed to score an impressive 115.
This is probably the most subjective of all the metrics, but I also like the aesthetics and case for this build. It has RGB fans on the front, but is minimalistic in most other areas. It's beautiful without being flashy. It's interesting to look at, but not distracting.
Long-term, the 650 W 80+ gold PSU is worth replacing, as it's almost the bare minimum for a system like this. It's the same with the 1 TB SSD storage. It is more than sufficient to get you started on your PC journey, but not long-term. You will run out of storage pretty quickly, given that Final Fantasy 16 needs 170 GB. These are the only upgrades that you will need to make for a while, given the price.
This deal is attractive because it balances power and value. Newegg has a great deal that includes a 4070Ti Super and a 7800X3D, but at almost $500 extra, it's hard for me to see how much more you can get from $1,400. If you're on a budget of about 1.5k, there are few better ways to get a gaming PC.
