This week's Deadlock Patch gave a glimpse at 3 unreleased Heroes before a hotfix pushed them back behind the curtains
Only a week after Valve acknowledged Deadlock, the gaming beta test has already changed quite a lot. Yesterday, Deadlock received a large patch that added wall-jumping, as well as more than 100 hero balance changes. The third person MOBA shooter was already complex enough without the addition of elaborate parkour. The patch also includes a new profile page, which shows statistics about a player's time with different heroes. As some Deadlock fans noticed, this included three heroes we can't select yet in-game: Holliday Mirage and Wrecker.
A hotfix was released shortly after that removed the heroes that were not implemented from the profile statistics pages. However, players took screenshots to prove their point. While the heroes may not be visible on the in-game menus yet, you can still try them out using console commands in Deadlock's Sandbox mode. It's safe to assume that these three heroes will eventually join the current roster of 21.
After launching Deadlock's console, which is bound to F7 by the default, entering the command "dump_hero_names", will return a complete list of heroes who are at least partially developed. This includes the unfinished heroes you saw briefly on the new profile screen. Entering "selecthero" in the Sandbox will change your character's hero to the specified one, even if it is not possible to select them normally. You can practice with Mirage Wrecker and Holliday using these console commands. Holliday will require you to use "Astro".
As you can see from these clips by @IntelDeadlock, Mirage will have a desert themed ability kit. This will allow them to launch tornadoes that will toss enemy players into the air, fire beetles to slow down enemies in a specific location, and fire a projectile to tether an opponent player to other nearby players.
The model of Wrecker, on the other hand, is in a less finished state. This means that it may take a little longer to select them in game. Wrecker has a number of scrap-related skills, including the ability to throw junk balls to stun enemy troops. He can also gain buffs for stunning and killing enemies, or launch an exploding ghost that will warp him to his point of impact.
Selecting a hero called "Astro" will give you a character who looks exactly like the Holliday model shown in the screenshot above. Astro was probably her name in an earlier stage of development. She is a cowboy, and can throw bounce pads and shootable powderkegs. She can also throw her hat through walls to make enemies visible (it's probably magic) and drag enemies using a "spirit laso."
Because these heroes are still in early development, their artwork and abilities should not be considered final until they are fully playable. Because Deadlock is still under development despite the thousands of players, it's safest to assume they'll make a lot of changes oncethey are fully playable.
