Tomorrow is the final day to vote for the 42nd Golden Joystick Awards Ultimate Game of the Year, and Best Game Adaptation
The 42nd Golden Joystick Awards is fast approaching. Winners will be announced during the live broadcast Thursday, November 21 at 4pm GMT/11am EST. There's still plenty of time to vote in some of the most important categories.
The voting for categories such as PC Game of the Year, Console Game of the Year, and Best Game Adaptation closed on November 4. However, you can still vote on the Ultimate Game of the Year award and Best Game Adaptation. You can vote until tomorrow, Friday, November 8, at 3 pm PST/6 pm EST/11 pm GMT.
Animal Well, Astro Bot and Balatro are the nominees for the Ultimate Game of the Year. They're also up for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6; Dragon Age: The Veilguard; Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth; Helldivers 2 Metaphor: ReFantazio; Satisfactory; Silent Hill 2 and Tekken 8! It's likely to be a close race with such a strong lineup of games.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Metaphor: ReFantazio are the latest additions, having just been released in the last few weeks. These games have a lot to offer, but it's unlikely that most players have played them all.
Nominations for Best Game Adaptation include Borderlands, Fallout 2, Halo Season 2, Knuckles: Like a Dragon Yakuza and Tomb Raider The Legend of Lara Croft. The race for Best Game Adaptation is unlikely to be as close as the Ultimate Game of the year, because there haven't really been any outstanding videogame adaptions in the last 12 months.
The Fallout TV series is my personal favorite on this list. When the first trailer was released, I didn't expect much. But I was pleasantly surprised when I sat down and watched it all. It was funny, gory and had some great, sidequests with the type of people you would expect to meet while exploring the Wasteland.
The choice is up to you. You have until tomorrow to vote for the categories you want to see honored this year. You can watch the Award Show livestream on November 21.
