What Karlach and Astarion do if you leave the camp: Joining an actual-play D&D show

I can't see why you'd want to leave out both Karlach and Astarion, unless Tav from Baldur's Gate 3 is some kind of obscene barbarian/rogue multiclass that has both their skills covered. This is what happened during GenCon's Dungeons and Dragons live show. Samantha Beart and Neil Newbon, along with Dungeon Master Aabria Iyengar, Anjali Bhimani and Brennan Lee Mulligan from Dimension 20 and DesiQuest, explored what their characters do when they go off on their own.

The adventure begins in a dive bar that is so low, it feels like it's actually in the Underdark. I won't tell you what happens next. It's a very silly time and the players can take pot shots at Gale and Lae’zel while they aren't around. This is the type of shenanigans that the NPCs do when I leave them, and it's canon.

The second half of the demo includes a 3D virtual tabletop Wizards of the Coast has been working on. It's a lot more impressive graphically than Roll20, the software I use to run my D&D game. The live game is a little slow, and I can imagine that if your players do not have high-end desktop computers, a virtual tabletop with this much graphic intensity might be a bit overwhelming.

They know that their Charisma checks are based on their Constitution saves. Newbon ran a Warhammer Fantasy Role-Play campaign on Twitch several years ago if you wanted another reason to love him.
