You can keep your tiny 60% gaming keyboards. This Black Friday, I'm going to get this monster-sized ergo buttons bonanza.
I don't like keyboards that are too small. I prefer having a single key to do a specific task, rather than having my fingers contorted in gangsta style to delete something.
In the sea of tiny gaming keys on Black Friday, I found one that I would buy in a heartbeat: It's full size and ergonomic. Ah, perfection.

I reviewed the Cloud Nine C959 tenkeyless keyboard earlier this year. I liked the solid build quality, the abundance of keys (especially macros) and the comfort of typing all day. It's an ergonomic keyboard with a split layout and a permanent seven-degree tent. Not some cheap imitation which is just a bit wavey.
You can choose from Kailh Linear Red and Tactile Brown switches with this Amazon Prime deal. The latter has more of a click than the former but both are fast and accurate. I prefer the Reds due to their almost-silent action. However, the Browns make very little noise.
Before you take the plunge, there are a few things to consider. The split layout is difficult to adapt to. However, the C959 was one of the easiest keyboards I've ever tested to use. The size of the keyboard will determine how quickly this process takes place.
It's not that it has a large number of keys. It's just that the keyboard is large. I have small hands, and it was a little difficult to hit certain keys. If you have large hands, you won't have any such issues.
The control wheel in the center is easy to use, but the backlight cannot be turned off, unlike the ones on the keys. (Or at least, not in my review sample). If you want a completely lightless keyboard then the LEDs of the wheel will quickly get on your nerves.
Ignoring the grumbles, this is an excellent keyboard. I wish more gamers would switch to a more ergonomic layout. Your wrists and shoulders are going to thank you.
