You'll get their money's worth and more with this game. A puzzle/platformer that's not only challenging and addicting, but also adorable, Adventures of Shuggy is a title that gamers of any age and ability are sure to enjoy.

Aside from those minor complaints, The Adventures of Shuggy is a superb 2D platformer deserving of a much wider audience (the leaderboards paint a slightly depressing picture of the game's sales to date). Smudged Cat Games have created a game with heart, intelligence and a mansion-load of well-applied ideas.

If you're a fan of games like Super Meat Boy and you're looking for some interesting twists to the platforming genre, The Adventures of Shuggy is worth checking out. Smudged Cat's first entry in the big leagues is a promising start, and has me excited for the studio's next project.

The controls are silky smooth, the visual style is adorable, and it doesn't involve shooting men in the face. All this for less than the price of a Spectrum game.

Shuggy is able to take a gamer back to their roots of gaming, with a fun and jazzy soundtrack and brilliantly bright colours in a much more simplistic looking environment as opposed to today's games. Shuggy offers a nostalgic journey to the past in a game that is both addictive and enjoyable to the end.

For the price, it's surprising to see so much content packed into an Xbox Live Arcade game. The Adventures of Shuggy isn't as polished as the top-tier platformers it's put up against, but it is a great game regardless.

A fresh old school puzzle platform, fun and lenghty, with a lot of nice ideas and variety. Trial and error formula lead to some frustration.

Marred only by its own unreached potential.

The Adventures of Shuggy is one of the best XBLA games of the year and a pleasant surprise for fans of "Braid-and-Winterbottom-esque" gameplay titles.

Frustrating at times but on the whole a great game for individual or multiple players. It's definitely worth the low price of 800 Microsoft Points.

Frustrating as well as fun, and simply for the Super Meat Boy crowd.

But it's certainly easier to grit your teeth through some frustration when almost every level has an intriguing new wrinkle.

In The Adventures of Shuggy you get a a ton of challenges that every puzzler can enjoy. Don't drop the game because of the first easy puzzles, because they get extremely difficult, very fast. Despite some flaws this game is well worth your money.

For 800ms points ($10), Shuggy might seem like it is a tad overpriced based simply on the screenshots, but I encourage gamers to give the demo a trial run to see if the unique gameplay is as appealing to them as it i to me. Considering the game has over 100 levels and even supports local co-op play, $10 goes a long way.
