AiRace Speed is a major improvement over AiRace Tunnel in almost every regard. While not all of its 18 courses are unique, it has a style and flair which is simply unmatched.

Challenging, fast and exciting, AiRace Speed is as fun as it is fast. It’s got that “one more go” factor, and provides a couple of hours of twitch gameplay for less than a fiver.

AiRace Speed may not seem like much, but for $4.99 the difficulty curve ensures you’re not just breezing through the game. Some of the turns seem incredibly sharp and will put your maneuvering skills to the test, but overall AiRace Speed is a fairly fun game. Just keep the 3D turned off.

AiRace Speed is not a futuristic racer a la F-Zero: it is indeed a futuristic "trial and error" game, where the complete dedition, trying to get the perfect performance, is valued.

While AiRace Speed is a bigger dish than its DSiWare equivalent, the limited scope still feels like that of a side course than a main meal.

AiRace Speed is a game for two categories of players: those who own a Nintendo 3DS and those who are passionate about Time Trial. Both will get a fast and challenging tunnel racer.

AiRace Speed stick to the good qualities of his ancestors and confirms itself as an intriguing and entertaining tunnel race.

Temperamental controls and B-grade visuals aside, this is a lovely little downloadable racer with a surprisingly compulsive time trial format.

Don't make the mistake of thinking AiRace Speed can be a solid alternative to F-Zero… because it isn't. This is no competitive multiplayer racing experience, and instead tries to appeal to those that like a trial and error-type challenge that creates its thrills out of boosting and dodging through tunnels that generally all look alike and trying to rank highly online.

From the point of view of speed and three-dimensional effects, AiRace Speed manages to impress, but it is not enough to move away some limitations that suggest that this is kind of a demonstration of the capabilities of 3DS.

The game took me three hours to earn a gold star ranking on each course. While the game has online leaderboards and even achievements to earn, I found no interest in pursing them after receiving my last gold star.

You need to ask yourself the question if you want to play such a disgraceful game. The levels are monotone and the game will make you scream and yell at your 3DS. Add too little content and you know you need to stay far away from this title.
