Anna’s Quest is a game that has a unique story that gets more complicated as the game goes on, a strong heroine, fun to play, challenging, slightly dark but at the same time has a lot of humor and heart.

Anna's Quest is yet another surprise of adventure gaming for 2015. It proves to be a solid, pleasant and very satisfying experience, which manages to be placed relatively close to more well-known and vaunted representatives of the category, such as The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 and Dead Synchronicity. Dane Krams and Daedalic Entertainment delivered a remarkable adventure game, filled with clever and imaginative puzzles.

With its peculiar, charming, and ‘fairytale-esque’ ambience, Anna’s Quest manages to create a unique and memorable world all on its own.

If you like the style and dynamics of Daedalic adventures, you should not miss Anna’s Quest.

Anna’s Quest is a charming, whimsical and beautiful adventure, that is sure to please fans as well as entice newcomers to the world of adventure games.

Anna’s Quest does in no way stray away from the tried and true adventure formula and doesn’t add anything new to the genre. That’s not to say that it isn’t fun – the story, in its best moments, is quite thrilling and the characters are likeable –, but it isn’t a game that will be remembered for long.

Despite boasting a simple and engaging storyline, Anna's Quest can't fully overcome unambitious gameplay and some frustrating design.

It might rely too much on its ending, but it does offer an engaging experience with a good story and some clever moments.

Even if it’s not Daedalic’s greatest work, Anna’s Quest is still a strong entry in their catalogue.

And so overall I didn’t much like Anna’s Quest. It’s just so nice and pleasant that it’s boring. That being said, there isn’t any profanity or violence or meanness to be seen, so it’s definitely a family-friendly game. It also appears to be targeted at young girls, and since that’s not the usual audience for games, it could work in the right situation.

Solid but shallow adventure with loads of references to Grimms fairy tales.

The fable where innocence is punished, purity of heart is tested, and good guys strive for victory by all means.

It’s an adventure equivalent of tasteless chewing gum. It works OK as filler, but you will not even remember this game a year later.
