A cute and fun title, perfect for young gamers, and fun for parents too.

The best part of the game is Lucas' maneuverability in getting from Point A to Point B. In some instances, he must glide on a rose pedal. In others, he summons other ants through telepathy, and the group either flings Lucas through the air or operates as an impromptu ladder.

Your traditional runaround platform adventure game.

Game Informer May 11, 2024
Whether you are defending the colony from a hornet invasion by manning goo cannons, racing an obstacle course with a team of ants, or foraging for food, the game keeps things fresh. Too bad none of it is exciting.

This must be one of the first instances in which a video game actually seems like the natural format. But even here, as you acquire weapons, ride wasps and beat up tiny-huge creatures, it seems never to aspire to much beyond adequacy.

Ant Bully is your typical video game tie in with a little extra sprinkled on top.

PSM3 Magazine UK May 11, 2024
It's not an incredible game, but one that surprises because it's not completely terrible.

Game Chronicles May 11, 2024
Just another movie tie-in that might keep the children happy for a night, but the more seasoned gamers may want to look elsewhere.

Games Master UK May 11, 2024
A fun premise for a game spoilt by clumsly controls and gameplay.

IGN May 11, 2024
A mix of surprisingly good and atrociously bad. While the gameplay is pretty entertaining at times, borrowing a few design elements form some of the best adventure games out there, fetch quests still get in the way of an otherwise amusing escapade.

A horribly repetitive platformer.

As there have been many films adaptations thus far in video gaming-and most of them have never failed to disappoint to some degree-I shouldn't be surprised by this particular title's shortcomings. However, with a cast including Bruce Campbell and a solid movie to draw from, I hoped for more.

This 3D adventure game does expand on the movie's story, but it's also uninteresting and repetitive.

Gamezilla! May 11, 2024
It’s simply another in a long line of cookie cutter games that won’t really add anything to your collection.
40
All too familiar platforming action spoiled further by oversimplified, unpredictable controls and utterly dreary objectives.

Unresponsive controls and a twitchy camera, however, are a little harder to swallow and when added to the sheer monotony of the experience, you just end up with weak title.

PALGN May 11, 2024
The gameplay is repetitive and there's hardly any support from the cast of the film.

The twitchy movement makes it unnecessarily difficult to target enemies with your primitive ant weapons (a lock-on button turns out to be little help) and it's all too easy to fall when carefully crawling up walls.

The Ant Bully isn't wholly shameless about setting the bar low, and kids are bound to get at least a little joy from its small world, but this colony is just too repetitive and dull to be fun for long.
