A fiendishly addictive offline and online multiplayer title and even a larger review wouldn't do the game justice (we only briefly mentioned the nifty damage score system and upgrade labs for example).

Arena Wars is multiplayer RTS streamlined and polished to perfection. It looks good, it plays great and it has the potential to be a lot more than just a cult classic.

Area Wars brings a fresh and interesting concept forward into the RTS field, and implements it superbly. Lamentably bad AI, and a sketchy online community prevent it from being a must-have recommendation.

If you're looking for something a little more distinctive and hanker for lightning-paced strategy then Arena Wars is well worth your time.

The good graphics, easy to use control and excellent concept will give players much to enjoy.

It may not be deep and customizable, but it's addictive and furious and more fun than it has any right to be.

It might be only knee deep compared to its brethren, but Arena Wars is a rare example of genre-mixing that works: it's an RTS with an FPS soul.

With all things taken into consideration, this game offers a ton of value for the dollar.
