ArmA: Queen's Gambit Critic Reviews

I would rather pay for an update that fixes AI and streamlines UI. Not muach new, and commando night missions are ArmA at its worst.

A hit-and-miss product that'll no doubt satiate the hardcore, but probably prove a tad too irritating for the rest.

Queen's Gambit is a mixed bag. The new campaigns are solid and well-worth the effort despite their obvious flaws, but the vanishingly small number of new features, weapons, and vehicles make it difficult to recommend.

Take Queen's Gambit as a harbiner that the original is now worth playing. If and when you've exhausted that, then this is waiting for you.

Just like the original, the expansion is extremely realistic and hard. Unfortunately it also brings very few new features. The combat on gigantic maps where you can die from a sniper shot fired hundreds of meters away just became more attractive thanks to the addition of M16A4, motorbikes and two short campaigns. If that doesn’t appeal to your inner soldier, probably you are like me.

Even with regular shopping trips ArmA veterans will chew through RF in a couple of longish evenings.
