Armada 2526 proves yet again that 4X Space games need a sense of wonder, not a sense of Excell. Death to text messaging diplomacy!

For a 4X strategy title it hits a lot of the sweet spots you want and is a great entry for anyone who wants to give running a star spanning empire a whirl.

Armada 2526 continues the great tradition of space opera games. You will explore the galaxy, conduct research, diplomacy and trade, maneuver mighty star fleets, and fight epic battles.

Varied alien races with different needs and requests means each play through will require different strategies, giving the game a great amount of replay value.

"Unpolished" – this word describes every facet of Armada 2526. Why bother playing this game when we already have the brilliant Galactic Civilizations 2?

Armada 2526 is a classic RTS with a good exploration phase, but the fights are ugly and the graphics seem to come from ten years ago. There are certainly die-hard enthusiasts who will appreciate the quality of the title developed by Nitronium Games, but it's hard to suggest this game to someone who doesn't like the genre.

Many great games have been built on the concept of expanding your space empire through diplomacy, trade and war. Armada 2526 is not one of them.
