This Gameloft proposal makes Asphalt 4 Elite Racing one of the best racing games available on Nintendo DS, specially in its subgenre, "real" car races. Mario Kart DS is still a difficult title to beat.

Gameloft have set the bar for other developers to aspire to, with a huge amount of detailed gaming squeezed from the 800 points asking price with 28 licensed cars, 8 real-life cities and a decent-sized career mode.

Asphalt 4: Elite Racing is worth every penny of its 800-point price, with a huge amount of racing action and great old-school controls. Buy it.

The few hitches, such as a lack of a robust online mode, do not ruin the experience. Instead, it just stops the title a tad short from reaching the upper echelon of DSiWare experiences.
