Atomega offers quite an enjoyable shooter experience with nice retro vibes and old-school power ups. For only 10 bucks, this gem is definitely worth trying out, but it’s up to you to stay and fight or leave it.

Atomega is a nice shooter from the studio behind Grow Home. It's simple to approach and entertaining to play, though it has only a map and a game mode.

Atomega may look cartoonishly simple at first glance, but there’s a wonderfully mad game of evolution at play here when you dig deep beneath its blocky surface.

Ubisoft presents an interesting game and a curious idea. However, it becomes really monotone due to the lack of game modes and only one playable map.

Atomega’s concept is great, especially in a world of identikit PvP shooters, but its dearth of content means it simply doesn’t last.

Even if Atomega offers a good gameplay and an interesting concept, it suffers from a serious lack of content. Only one map and one game mode is not enough, and ot makes all the games look alike.

Simple and fun, this game offers first-person action and a self-building style that makes the player feel powerful... or really tiny. A good experience with a little lack of variety.

Ironically, Atomega's fatal flaw is that it never grew to its full potential. It's a mostly-unique multiplayer game that's good until it's too familiar. Once it's too familiar, it's too small and simple for its own good. Call it growing pains.

ATOMEGA is a shooter game from creator of Grow Home and Grow Up. You are ready to become a super advanced post-biological lifeforms called Exforms and fight against others just for your fun?

If you are looking for a title that is difficult but you know how to curious and enjoy yourself, the few hours spent with Atomega may still be worth the cost of the ticket.

In my mind, what Reflections is selling on Steam is effectively a beta or demo for a full product. With its extremely limited content and balancing issues, it seems hard to justify buying the game until they’ve had the time to address such concerns. I’d like to see the game get more time in the oven because it’s legitimately cool and the concept is fresh and new. Ubisoft and Reflections didn’t quite put their best first forward with this release. But with time and energy, Atomega has the potential to evolve into an addicting multiplayer experience.

Atomega is a simple yet original multiplayer game. It’s fun for some matches, but becoming repetitive very soon.

Atomega looks like a prototype. The game has an interesting concept, but simply lacks content.

The people behind Grow Home return with an ingenious multiplayer battler.
