ATV Offroad Fury 4 Critic Reviews

Immense racing. You get 4 different vehicle types, over 70 tracks plus a track editor, robust online modes and even a story mode for those that want it. All of this is wrapped up in an attractive package that runs well, controls very smoothly and plyas like it looks.

This is definitely the best playing and best looking of the ATV Offroad series. While the gameplay isn’t exactly new it’s refined and diverse. It’s quality and quantity at the same time. This is an absolute must for racing fans.

Both the ATV's and Bikes feature the best current-gen behind the bars camera to date, providing the closest thing to real racing on the PS2.

It doesn't break the mold, but then again, no game in this genre really has to if it wants to be enjoyable.

A perfect example of this fact, not only is it the best game so far in this underrated series it's also one of the most enjoyable racing games around at the moment for any console.

The game includes a lot of new content since the addition of other vehicles really does a lot to increase the breadth of the game. The gameplay is as solid as it has ever been.

The addition of the extra vehicles and racing styles takes what was already a solid premise and brings it to the next level. It’s a definite must-play for racing fans who enjoy getting a little dirty.

Vehicle handling is very responsive, and never manages to feel off. You’ll easily be able to tell the difference between most vehicle types, more so when it comes to different classes.

The series' best game yet.

ATV Offroad Fury 4 is another great extension of the series that manages to keep things fresh with tight handling, improved physics, and an assortment of gameplay modes including tons of multiplayer options.

The ATV Offroad Fury series has long been known for fast, dirty thrills, and ATV4 is the best so far.

The good heavily outweighs the minute problems with the artificial intelligence and soundtrack. Despite these few complications, Fury 4 is still a very fun and enjoyable racer that is worth a spin.

For fans of the series, ATV Offroad Fury 4 is just about everything they could ask for in an ATV game. There are extras on top of extras, rounding out what is already a great arcade racing experience.

A definite upgrade, plain and simple. It may not be quite enough to summon new fans this late in the day, but that Story Mode and extra modes/content is always intriguing, regardless of whether or not you’re familiar with the franchise.

We wish the AI were a little more fair in a couple ways, but the races stay close and exciting until the end, so we can't complain too much. In short, if you're into arcadey racers, give this one a shot - you won't be sorry.

The only question that remains is, with four games in this series and countless other similar titles, how much longer can this engine be revved? Still, by offering up plenty of vehicles, racing styles and gameplay modes, ATV Offroad Fury 4 is a solid racing experience.

Maybe it's just that, for as much as the series has done to reinvent itself as a pure racer rather than a technical "rhythm" racer, it's still a fairly predictable formula.

It's too bad ATV Offroad Fury 4 has to come out in the shadow of "Motorstorm", but thanks to the "Motorstorm" delay, it might still be the Baja racing game of the year.

A commendable example of a last-gen game that's still willing to evolve and offer more for your money.
