ATV Quad Power Racing 2 Critic Reviews

It’s not going to rock your world, but it looks good, sounds good, plays great and is sure to put a big old smile on your face.

Light years better than its ugly-as-sin predecessor and is already worthy to compete against Sony's Offroad Fury series.

The sequel rocks. Hard. In fact, I can't think of a more stupendous leap in quality between a game and its sequel.

The controls can get addictive as you want to try to keep unlocking more courses and ATV’s to use in future races.

If one had to buy an ATV racer for the PS2, I would suggest "ATV Offroad Fury 2"; it gives you a lot more bang for your buck.

It just is not the kind of game that will blow racing fans away.

Provides some fun racing action, but it's not outstanding.

Basically in the same leagues as "Fury" which is disappointing since "Fury" is more than a year old already.

We only wish that there were more to do, tougher AI, and an online component for those lonely springtime evenings. Not perfect, but definitely not bad.

If you own multiple consoles - although the game is solid across all three platforms - the Xbox game takes the prize, with eight competitors to the GC and PS2's six, along with a four-player mode compared to the other consoles' two.

What's really missing here? A bit of inventiveness, we think.

Solid and reliable - good qualities in a dog, but we hope for more originality in a game.

ATV: Quad Power Racing 2 is to "ATV Offroad Fury 2," as peas and carrots are to filet of Wild Virginia Bass with melted Savoy cabbage and Spanish caper emulsion.

The racing can be good, the depth is fine, but the overall execution of the game makes the user feel like they have been shortchanged.

While ATV Quad Power Racing 2 is a pretty decent racing game on its own merits, it can't be recommended over a couple of similar games that are already available.

The frame rate is solid enough, as is the draw distance, however the water effects leave a lot to be desired when compared to the excellent lighting.

With racing that’s both difficult and hard to control, as well a poor trick system, I’d be quick to pass this up.

The novelty of kicking your friends from their bike in the heat of a race won't last forever, so once that aspect of the fun wears off so does any urge to hunker down to a night of ATV Quad Power Racing 2.

Competent but unoriginal.
