From the minute you see the cheesy menus, you get a feeling of dread that this game isn't going to live up to its effects. And with a cheesy story and cheesy design leave that feeling hovering all through the game.

The smooth controls and frame rate prevent the game from being totally abysmal, but with the gameplay problems, weapon lag time, and weak save game feature, more work is needed.

Thanks to a claustrophobic clipping plane and frequent dead zones, BackTrack still feels like unfinished shareware.
