This is a rehash, and while fine, it does not stand out. There are several miscues along the way, all of which results in a turnover, speaking in basketball terms.

Not many eight year-olds are going to be disappointed at the lack of a solid franchise mode or the graphical details of Paul Pierce as a child. Backyard Basketball is a dose of sugarcoated simplicity but overall it is a decent sports title for young children.
