I believe it is fair to say, that until this day, there has never been a more superior superhero game than Batman Arkham Asylum. Rocksteady Studios created a superhero action game classic that not only made you feel like The Dark Knight, but also treated the Batman world with love and respect. It was a pleasure to fight and infiltrate Gotham's famous jail and its nefarious inmates.

Arkham Asylum is a lot of fun to play as Batman. Batman's arsenal, his mastery of martial art, and the most satisfying countering system in gaming allow him to not only take down hordes at once, but also to hunt them from the shadows. You can also encounter some memorable bosses, such as Scarecrow and Killer Croc, to complete the ultimate Batman gaming experience.

When I saw that Batman: Arkham Asylum could be purchased for only a few dollars/pounds during a Halloween sale I wanted to make it known to a wider audience, as it's a lot of fun to play for a very low price. Details are listed below.

It's not only my opinion that counts when evaluating Batman: Arkham Asylum. Over 47,000 other players on Steam have also rated the game 'Overwhelmingly positive'. Metacritic, a review aggregator, has given Arkham Asylum a 'Must Play" award, thanks to 92 out 100 and 'Universal Acclaim.' This game has been a real hit with many gamers, regardless if they are superhero fans.

Arkham Asylum was genuinely scary, and that's what I liked about it. The madhouse is overrun with all kinds of nasties and has a formidable and oppressive character. As you progress, the tension and pressure slowly increase. The classic pressure cooker structure is a great one, but you will never feel overwhelmed because Batman is the most lethal of the frightful entities. When I first played, the part with Killer Croc was terrifying.

Batman: Arkham Asylum, which was released in 2009, has PC specifications that are very, very approachable. This superhero adventure is accessible to all PC gamers today. The minimum GPU requirement is an Nvidia 6690, with 2GB RAM and a dual-core CPU. The only thing that is annoying is the fact that Arkham Asylum does not officially support Steam Deck.

This is a great Halloween gaming experience for anyone who wants some quality superhero action. I've played this game before, but the GoG package includes an offline installer, which can't be taken from me, like a license for the game.
