Motherboard manufacturers confirmed Ryzen 7 9800X3D, the first 9000X3D processor to launch next week.

AMD Ryzen 9000X3D is launching in November, and it's no secret. Which9000-series V-Cache processor would launch has remained a mystery, but many have assumed that it will be the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. This is not surprising, as we've seen leaked performance numbers. It seems that these assumptions have been officially confirmed, but not by AMD.

This information has been leaked by motherboard manufacturers, not AMD. Gigabyte made this information public by displaying an 8-core version of the 9800X3D in its BIOS while promoting its new X3D turbo mode (which, by and by, just disables SMT).

Gigabyte's possible slip-up is nothing compared with MSI's rooftop statement, where the company said it was "thrilled" to announce the upcoming AMD Ryzen 7 (9800X3D). The company then goes on to mention the 9800X3D four more times in a three-paragraph blog post that reads like an AMD CPU announcement rather than a motherboard compatibility announcement.

It's also nothing compared to ASRocks announcement, which to be fair, reads more like a compatibility statement than a CPU announcement. The company claims that its "AM5 Series motherboards are fully compliant with the AMD Ryzen 7 processor 9800X3D, maximising its impressive gaming performance."

ASRock continues: "The AMD Ryzen 7 processor 9800X3D was the first model to be released in the 9000X3D series."

I'm not certain if this is AMD giving the green light, motherboard manufacturers finding loopholes in a embargo or just caution-tothe-wind excitement. It doesn't matter what the reason is, we now know that the Ryzen 7 will be available next week.

This CPU with a lot of cache could be one of the best for gaming. After all, its predecessor is currently thebest CPU for gaming. If the recent Geekbench results of the 9800X3D are any indication, we could see a significant performance increase over the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. There is no official word yet on the specifications or real-world gaming performance.

We don't have any official word on the pricing. Recent rumours suggest that the 9800X3D would cost $30 more than the original 7800X3D. This would prove PC Gamer's hardware guru Dave James's prediction that the 9000X3D chips wouldn't be cheap, as "AMD can charge whatever they like for its golden goose" to be true.

AMD will have to confirm this. Maybe MSI, ASRock and Gigabyte will release pricing information. Why not?
