Battlefield 2142 delivers a sci-fi themed experience using the familiar Battlefield style. While the setting may have changed a bit, the overall gameplay hasn't.

Rampaging counter-measures aside; Battlefield 2142 is the latest and greatest release in the series and is well worth every pound/dollar/euro.

As a new title, Battlefield 2142 holds its own. For a team-based shooter, you can,t do much better with what,s available today, and if you,re looking for a game to move your clan to, this may be what you,re looking for.

Instead of just tacking some curvaceous metal scraps onto otherwise ordinary buildings, the maps feature a cohesive vision of the not-too-distant future.

It's a great experience jumping off of an exploding Titan and surviving, knowing it was your DemoPaks that blew up the reactor core.

Battlefield 2142 is more of a mod of the very well made Battlefield 2, but still a must for online gamers.

A great game. However, it isn’t as big of an improvement as "Battlefield 2" was over "Battlefield 1942." The new ranking system and unlocks will definitely keep fans of the series coming back for more.

It's certainly not gong to supersede the increasingy popular "Battlefield 2," as most of its merits merely held over from its predecessor, but nevertheless it's a brilliant evolution of one of the greatest online shooters ever made. And it's got giant walking tanks.

Battlefield 2142 may adhere to the familiar Battlefield formula, but its still gangs of fun to play.

Not a mind-blowing leap above "Battlefield 2," but worth a return to the trenches.

Little more than "Battlefield 2" with mechs and gunships. In nearly every way, a round of 2142 plays out exactly like a round of its predecessor. Not that that’s a particularly bad thing, but for all intents and purposes this is a $50 mod.

Bottom line is I had loads of fun playing BF 2142 in multiplayer.

A solid multiplayer game just like its predecessors. The new Titan mode is a lot of fun but sometimes it suffers from severe lag issues. The large amount of unlocks is both a blessing and a curse.

Battlefield 2142 steps over Battlefield 2 in terms of graphics, gameplay, multiplayer ranks, unlocks, and game modes. Right out of the box it offers more variety in terms of selecting different game modes, more customizations in options, and a larger map selection with better maps.

Battlefield 2142 might not be extraordinary, but it still got excitement and fun.

GameTrailers May 11, 2024
While still not meeting the revolution that 1942 was, the addition of Titan mode makes it feel more than “another year, another title” but it’s cutting it close.

Gamers' Temple May 11, 2024
An incremental step forward for the series, but the new Titan mode is sure to appeal to many of the series' veterans.

GamingExcellence May 11, 2024
The game is rock solid and balanced so that experienced gamers and new players can get the hang of the game and soon be hooked on the action and teamwork it brings while working towards that next unlock.

PC Gamer UK May 11, 2024
The change of theme makes it all feel fresh again, the new mode adds special moments of its own, and the technological streamlining makes it approximately 15 minutes easier to jump into a game.

While Battlefield 2142 could stand to remind us a little less of Battlefield 2, its awesome technology has shown us a future worth paying for and dying in.
