It's original, it's inexpensive and it's fun. Void is a perfect addition to the Bit.Trip series and is, arguably, the best of the batch so far, retaining the addictive charms of the previous two titles while carving out a strong and unique identity of its own.

As a step in the series' continued evolution, Void is both surprising and well done. It doesn't quite top my favorite in the series, Core, which has catchier music that remains a larger part of its design, but it comes close (Void does have music from Nullsleep, a very good chiptunes artist, however).

A simple, entertaining and artistic game. It's visually familiar, but the game is once again different.
