Summary
The year is 1973. The sound of a lone, ethereal saxophone drifts over the Roosevelt Island promenade, while a series of accidents plague a midtown construction site. The citizens of Manhattan take no notice of these events... but are they connected?

Unbound introduces a new mechanic, which allows players to take control of both Joey and Lauren. Joey can’t physically interact with real objects, although he can touch other spirits, make a breeze and interfere with electronic equipment. This is a great step forward for the series, opening up a whole new spectrum of plot ideas and puzzles.

This oddly-placed prequel is a scrappy game with some frustrating puzzles, but it's still an absorbing little ghost story.

Not quite as great as its predecessor, Blackwell 2: Unbound is still a likeable part of the mystery series.
