While it does not redefine the genre, Blast Brigade's demanding but fair
gameplay, competent execution and memorable boss fights, as well as a
gorgeous art style and plenty of humour will make this a safe bet for
any fans of action platformers looking for a fun time.

Despite its problems, Blast Brigade is fun if you don’t mind beating your head against the wall at times. While its linear nature doesn’t always do a good job of scratching the Metroidvania itch, what’s there is a solid action game with fantastic boss battles.
