Blazing Beaks is one of the Switch’s hidden eShop gems. Regardless of the potentially steep learning curve, the game always leads to lots of laughs. It’s best played with a group of friends to get the most enjoyment out of all the content that the game has to offer. If Blazing Beaks even remotely catches your eye, it is well worth a purchase.

Risk-reward mechanics find a colorful ally in Blazing Beaks. This indie roguelike offers great replayability and a very fun local multiplayer.

Blazing Beaks is a lot of things, all at once, splitting focus between a rogue-lite Story mode and twin-stick local multiplayer shenanigans. Neither mode is perfect, and there might be stronger options available if you’re only interested in one of these genres, but there’s an astonishing level of replay value here, across the board. You’d be quackers to miss it.

There may be many twin-stick roguelikes but very few are as enjoyable as Blazing Beaks with its charming visuals and tight gameplay.

Blazing Beaks was a nice little surprise and I thoroughly recommend it for fans of the genre. It loses a few points in my eyes for a rather bland soundtrack and a complete lack of narrative. Overall, though, it’s a fun little game and worthy to sit among the others.

A roguelite twin stick adventure granted with a fantastic local multiplayer competitive madness. Not the best of its class, but a very good one.

Blazing Beaks can be best described as a roguelikegame that's full of mysteries and secrets, and one which works marvelously whether on a solo or multiplayer level. It also features a delightful looking art style, so its randomly-generated levels can be enjoyed thoroughly in all their glory. It's a game that works like a charm and plays like one too.

Blazing Beaks is a good first venture into console games for Applava. This team clearly loves the twin-stick roguelike genre, and despite needing some fine-tuning, I enjoyed my time with it. With just a few tweaks, this would be a solid recommendation to fans of the genre.
