The overall attention in the Secret Armory is impressive, and the quirks that made the main game so memorable are definitely present here.

If you enjoyed Borderlands in its fullest and were hoping there was a way to extend the game-time without necessarily plunging into a second playthrough or a new character, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is just that continuation you were looking for.

The truth is, when it comes to DLC, nobody is doing this stuff as well as Gearbox's team at the moment.

This lengthy add-on is filled with so much humor, action, and looting satisfaction that it could very well be the highlight of all your Pandoran adventures.

The new content makes the game feel fresh once again, and the size and scope are absolutely amazing when you consider this is a download-only expansion. It is sad that this may in fact be the final DLC for the game, but if it is, what an incredible way to go out.

General Knoxx is exactly the kind of DLC that the fans of Borderlands were hoping for: a brand new set of missions with new enemies, locations and loots. The high difficulty setting, especially on the second run, makes this DLC perfect for those who reached the previous level cap.

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is by far one of the best pieces of DLC out there and will give you a minimum of ten hours of gameplay, significantly more if you want to hit the new level cap, and with more Borderlands DLC on the way, they certainly know what the fans want, and how to deliver the goods.

This is by far the best of the three add-ons for the core game, and the most fun I had since I completed the main game last year.

Compared to the other two DLC offerings for Borderlands, ‘The Secret Armory of General Knoxx’ is the one I would recommend for anyone who haven’t jumped into any of the new content yet. Not only does ‘General Knoxx’ expand on the ending of the original game, but it offers up a number of new tweaks that work in everyone’s favour.

It's a case of third time's a charm for this DLC. Simply put, it's a must-buy for any Borderlands fan.

To put this DLC’s quality in concrete terms: I’ll be hard-pressed to hoof it back to Fyrestone after getting a taste of the superior T-bone Junction.

In this third pack of downloadable content, Gearbox more than makes up for the missteps of Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, emptying out Pandora's pockets onto the Vault Hunters in a big way.

All in all, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is a vast improvement over its two older DLC siblings.

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx succeeds in not just adding to the Borderlands experience, but improving it in almost every area. There's a ton of fresh content for just 10 bucks. If you're still playing Borderlands, or have been looking for a reason to jump back in, don't pass it up.

General Knoxx may suffer some as a result of all of the fiddling, but in the missteps you can see the start of something bigger than what Borderlands was originally intended to be.

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is a huge addition to Borderlands and delivers new enemy types, new weapons, new quests, new vehicles and rises the level cap to 61. Last but not least, it offers the chance to face the most dangerous enemy we've ever found in the game. Great fun and a good epilogue to one of the sleeper blockbusters of last year.

With The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, Gearbox injects new life into one of the most addictive and brilliant digital worlds of 2009. New stories and missions, different vehicles, large maps and crazy characters can give Borderlands lovers a fair amount of playtime. Must buy for mercenaries, Crypt hunters and... claptraps!
