Some players of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, who hate the new skins, are willing to pay to have them removed.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, season 1, introduced some skins that players dislike so much, they're willing pay Activision to not see them in every match.
This season, there are some skins that are just plain ugly. There is a new skin inspired by parasites, the Goliath Operator skin, and the Dragon Knight skin. The latter looks more like something that would be appropriate for Destiny or WoW rather than a Call of Duty.
One player, valayavr, thanks the skin maker. It is so huge and has so many particles effects that I cannot even see its head and it cuts my frame in half. Treyarch, you've made a masterful move." It's true there are many particle effects on this skin. Its shoulders are constantly covered in green flames and ashes, which can sometimes obscure the head.
Someone else has pointed out that you can use the Dragon Knight skin in your favor if you see someone wearing it on the opposing team. Another player said that if the skin was lead and running down a hall, you would have a line up of blind people. "I got back-to-back fury killings from the same idiot."
Most players, except for this player, are looking for ways to hide the ugly cosmetics. "I would pay to not see other players' skins or tracer round," says player aizendoto. "I don't understand why skins have become so degenerate in CoD. I know why people buy this dogshit. "I thought Nicki Minaj's dogshit was the best, but today, I log on and I see a green glowing Dragon with huge wings that shoots light-green explosions which literally make you NOTHING when they hit."
I agree with you that cosmetics have become a bit overdone in CoD. Fortnite is not for every game. Cartoonish or quirky gun skins or characters in Overwatch 2 or Valorant fit the art style and don't feel out of place. But Captain Price running around in a Fallout vault-dweller suit or getting sliced by a Gundam feels strange.
Another player asks, "Please turn off cosmetics." If you want to see that stupid shite, then go ahead, but disable this garbage. I don't want to see lazers and dragons all over the place. Can't we go back to the pre-season? At the very least, disable all stupid effects from our end. If you want an epileptic attack on your end, then that's your problem."
It would be hilarious to think that players are spending money on skins they will never see. Does it exist if someone wears an obnoxious skin in a CoD game and no one can see it?
