Some clichés (like the staff recruiting for the ship) and the usual winks towards the Monkey Island series are not dodged. Still, it will keep you pleasantly occupied, offering more than a handful of puzzles- even though the last one proven to be too easy.

Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle is a beautiful looking game with an adventurous story about growing up and dealing with grief, though a few odd design decisions spoil some of the fun.

Cute locations and adventurous captain Morgane on the one side, trivial animations, flat sound and extremely annoying minigames on the other. A pirate adventure could be much better than this.

It's hard to call Captain Morgane a worthwhile game, as it fails on almost every level – from run-of-the-mill story to ugly character models.

Captain Morgane is a bland story with one-dimensional characters, weak attempts at humor and mini-games that reek of desperation.

Even without the Monkey Island penis envy factored in, this is a shipwreck of a game.
