Clash of the Titans – The Video Game might be repetitive in terms of fighting mechanics and it doesn't really have a plot, but it is good enough for hardcore hack'n'slay fans to enjoy.

As it is usual with movie adaptations, Clash of the Titans is just a decent game, a bit repetitive and without anything remarkable within the multiple games of the genre we have seen in the last months.

For third person action fans, you should really give this game a look, especially as a solid weekend rental, and potential purchase afterwards. Nothing about Clash of the Titans is outstandingly good or bad, so don't be afraid to give it a chance.

Clash of the Titans was a nice movie, at least an interesting one, but the game's quite a stun. The Unreal Engine makes a good effort in recreating the same atmosphere, using the original characters and a different perspective for the story, that we experience under the eyes of Pherseus. The Gods are going to pay their deeds, and we need to help the main character achieve his goal. Buy it if you're a fan of the hack 'n slash genre, or just a movie-lover. There's nothing new, but what we find's at least playable.

Fans of the flick or of heroic tales will find a fair bit to like here, but uncovering it all can be a serious chore.

After the first hour or so of playing I wished I were playing a classic rather than putting up with a new game dressed up like a classic.

Clash of the Titans is a poorly made, extremely derivative game that missed its money-making opportunity when it missed the movie's theatrical release date.

The individual elements of the game initially seem passable, but in sum they make up a regressive, repetitive game that only functions as a way to kill your spare minutes through raw attrition. There's nothing epic to see here.

Battle after battle after battle in an endless stream, all the game through, and the battles aren't even fun. It doesn't take more than an hour for Clash of the Titans to feel horribly repetitive.

Game Republic may throw a whole bestiary of mythological Greco-Roman creatures at the player, but when killing them feels so unremarkable, the end result feels like a lot of wasted effort.

It's a shame, too, because had it hemmed in the play time and polished the combat, it could have provided a lean and mean eight hours of satisfying God of War-like, gore-fueled fun.

The recent Clash of the Titans film was a mildly entertaining display of special effects. The game contains all of the film's camp but lacks the spectacle of million-dollar CG krakens to help save it.

While this game will take you twenty or more hours to complete, it is so repetitious and clunky you'll swear it was closer to eighty.
