Good family fun that will keep you entertained for ages.

All in all, Cooking Mama: World Kitchen is a blast, and any gamer with the faintest interest in the micro-games genre will find something to enjoy in Mama's kitchen.

It still needs some improvements in the controls, and it doesn't offer a deeper single-player experience like its counterpart, Order Up. Still, fans of the original and those curious to try the series will find that this version of the game does not disappoint.

More of the same with a few additional spices, Cooking Mama: World Kitchen isn't the freshest game in the market. But fans of the series should be entertained, especially those who can appreciate the silly humor that it provides.

So what we have here is a good casual game; what last year's Cooking Mama should have been. World Kitchen is easy enough for anyone to pick up and play (despite the lack of tutorial), and Mama's charisma may even keep cynical hardcore gamers playing longer than they expected.

Really, the biggest issue with the game is the lame multiplayer and lack of enough game modes.

Cooking Mama World Kitchen isn't bad, but it could have been better.

Cooking Mama: World Kitchen cooks up its best version yet with its second round at seasoning the Nintendo Wii. The game might be a little shallow and strange for some gamers; however anyone who has got down and floury with Mama in the past will enjoy her usually optimistic approach.

Mama may be smiling away on the box but you certainly won't be if you buy this after playing her old games.

It's great trying to perfect all of the recipes, but the terrible utilisation of the Wii-mote is tougher to swallow than a week old pork pie.

Cooking Mama 2: World Kitchen will be loved by users that want to have simple entertainment, but "hardcore gamers" will not feel any interest for this game. Anyway, the title is quite good ad fans will appreciate that first version issues have been resolved.

Even with the controller glitches, which seemed not to bother younger players so much anyway, it's more fun with the Wii remote than with the DS stylus.

Even serious fans should rent before buying this half-baked cash in.

Although this installment has achieved to overcome some of the control issues of the first game, and it also offers slightly better graphics than those one, it doesn't bring anything new to the series.

Don't expect to learn any parenting tips that can be applied in real life. And don't expect to see any gender-based issues brought up either. However, as a game it may fill some niche with 3-5 year old girls with parents who want to perpetuate the stereotype.

World Kitchen tries hard to spice up the already tasty Cooking Mama recipe with new characters, slapstick rescue minigames, and cheesy-in-a-bad-way voiceovers, but the results leave behind a funny aftertaste. It'll do in a pinch, but I prefer Cook Off's well-balanced helpings.
